Poster Campaign

Project Paani has organized poster campaign in the region of Dehradun, Uttarakhand. In this, we mainly targeted the commercial shops and complexes. A lot of water is consumed and often wasted by the businesses. Therefore, the team did a few poster campaigns so that everyone is aware and educated about water-related concerns.

Virtual Plantation Drive

Amidst Covid-19, our activites were restricted due to the strict compliance of regulations of the Ministry of Health and WHO. Despite the limitations, Project Paani joined hands with JOY-Just Open Yourself, a dehradun based NGO, for a plantation drive in the month of July.

Save Thano Campaign

18th October 2020 is a day to be remembered in Uttrakhand, especially in Dehradun because today is when a lot of NGOs, activists, and youngsters came together to stand against the cutting of 10000 trees for the expansion of Dehradun airport.
We, the Mitti Foundation were also a part of this protest and planned and executed everything accordingly. We designed posters and placards and stood up for a silent protest at first.
Then, we took part in the Slogan March on the road and made sure that the message presented by all people there reaches our officials. Soon after, Raksha Dhagas were tied by our members along with others on the trees with posters and placards to save them from cutting down and also to make the authorities realize that we will stand for their prevention in the future too.
As soon as this finished, a talk on the effect this decision will have on the environment was given and interviews were conducted.
We are happy that we were able to present our message clearly, unfortunately for not a healthy reason. It’s sad to stand up like this, but what’s good is that we are not alone. The youth and many other groups are working to make sure this doesn’t happen again in the future.

Winter Clothes Distribution Drive

We had a bumper collection of Clothes for all types for the distribution drive. It took us many hours to segregate the clothes, put them into different cartons/bags for different sizes/types and finally putting them into 3 cars (Fully Loaded with Cloth bags).

We distributed Clothes in/to 4 major locations/Set of People-

1- People living in the area below ISBT Flyover.

2- People living at the backside of Parade Ground.

3- People living enroute to Sahastra dhara from Survey Chowk.

4- Slums area Below Bindaal Bridge.

It was a great experience for us, Team Mitti Foundation to be able to do something for the underprivileged section of our society. These people live with us, in our society only, but they are never part of mainstream. Our small efforts can change their lives. Though the effort is not enough to bring a complete change but yes, It always feels good to take the first step.

That’s How we celebrated our Republic Day

Thank you each and everyone for your continuous support and blessings.
